Biography
Early years
SETTWOR was born on February 8, 2007, in Kryvyi Rih, Ukraine.[1][16]
As a child, SETTWOR was persistent and wanted to understand anything that caught his interest. The harder the task, the more he liked mastering it. Music was not his first passion. Programming came first: he studied programming languages in depth, and for a long time that was the main thing in his life.
Over time he tried various hobbies until he found music. He taught himself, experimenting for countless hours. He later said he would have liked to study music professionally, because it had always fascinated him and meant a great deal to him.
First releases
In 2018, SETTWOR started learning music production from scratch. It began with simple beats that were far from perfect, and hits rarely come on the first try. His skills grew, and he soon realized he wanted to be a full musician and producer, not just a beatmaker.[19]
In 2020, he took the stage name SETTWOR and opened a YouTube channel under the same name for his work and future music.[3]
His first release, “Light Wave”, came out in 2021 after many experiments and iterations.[19][20] His first track in the phonk genre, Lunatic, followed on May 8, 2022.[3]
SETTWOR welcomed his first listeners warmly. It seemed almost impossible to him that someone was really listening to his music. Each stream gave him hope that people could like his work and pushed him to keep going. He has often said how much he values every listener: they mean more to him than one could imagine.
Style development
From 2021 to 2025, SETTWOR gradually built up experience and released more and more tracks. He had little to no audience at that point. He focused on learning and finding his own sound, and phonk remained his main genre.
On February 9, 2023, he released GOT ME UP. Later, with the album GET IT, Vol.1, he had more experience and technical skill and presented a reworked version, GOT ME UP 2. Over time GOT ME UP 2 became his most successful release, well ahead of his other works in streams.[6][20]
On December 15, 2023, he released DON’T STOP. It sounded noticeably different from his earlier phonk releases and pointed to a new direction. It was the first clear turn in his work. He kept working with phonk, but the style and the production approach changed, and he put his focus on albums rather than standalone singles. Since then he has experimented with different styles, and he still does.[20]
Music and life
Music took over SETTWOR’s life and left little room for anything else. He went outside almost every day and listened to his own tracks for hours, thinking about how to improve them. Even when he had no free time to think, music was with him: ideas, plans, ways to make the songs better, ways to make sure people would hear them.
SETTWOR both loved and resented how much of his life music had become. Years of thinking, experimenting and teaching himself paid off. Everything he makes today builds on them.
2025
Before the mixtape BREAKPOINT Mixtape came out on March 28, 2025, SETTWOR decided to promote his tracks harder than ever. He also hinted that he might leave phonk, partly or completely, to try other directions. That is how it went: the mixtape marked a change of style and a move toward different sounds. He is now working on tracks that lean toward Brazilian funk, house and EDM.[5]
Soon after the mixtape, GOT ME UP 2 from the earlier album GET IT, Vol.1 reached the most streams in SETTWOR’s history, and it keeps growing. More of his songs are getting attention, streams and playlist spots.[6]
On September 26, 2025, he released OG KILLIN’, an aggressive, fast bass track. It carries the raw energy of old-school true phonk at its best, the sound that made fans love the genre, and it is meant as a tribute to legendary, authentic phonk.[20]
It surprised the artist: within the first few days the track had record streams for him. Listener interest in classic old-school phonk was still there.
On December 12, 2025, he released NOITE SELVAGEM, his first track in Brazilian funk. The release opened a new direction in his music and showed his interest in trying different sounds and styles.[7]
In late 2025, SETTWOR became interested in Brazilian funk and released two tracks in that style. The start of 2026 stayed with funk too, and until spring it was the only genre he released. According to the artist, this period was a test of how his audience would take Brazilian funk. He said he does not plan to move into the genre fully. For him it is an experiment, because Brazilian funk is not his core direction.[15][20]
2026
From the start of 2026, SETTWOR promoted his releases harder than ever, and the numbers moved quickly. By the end of January he had his best Spotify results up to that point: his audience grew to thousands of daily listeners, and his tracks were added to thousands of playlists in the first month of the year.[2]
In February growth sped up. Total streams more than doubled compared with January, which had been a record. By then SETTWOR had tens of thousands of monthly listeners on Spotify, and his combined monthly audience across all digital platforms was above 50,000.
Growth was steadier in March. In April, total streams passed 200,000 for the month, nearly twice the previous month. He had not had a higher month before.
On September 4, 2026, SE TU QUER was re-released as a collaboration with Mc Baiano, whose vocals SETTWOR had already used in the original version. The release came out on Authentic Records. In five years of making music, it is his first collaboration with another artist.[8][17]
On October 10, 2026, Toma Jatada came out, a collaboration between SETTWOR and MC GW, a well-known artist and the leading voice of Brazilian funk. The release was supported by Authentic Records.[9][13][18]
Release series
With OG KILLIN’, SETTWOR started a regular release series: a new track every second Friday, two releases a month. The series has included OG KILLIN’, Ball Hard, anguish✟, Disco 00, THE TROOPER, PIT STOP, NOITE SELVAGEM, MENTE LOUCA, SE TU QUER, GUARDA CHUVA, BATE NA PICA, ENTÃO CHUPA, MEU BONECO, GOT ME UP (Deluxe), BRUMA AURA and XEREQUINHA NERVOSA. After “XEREQUINHA NERVOSA”, SETTWOR paused the series.[11][12][20]

Tracks history
GOT ME UP 2
On April 3, 2025, GOT ME UP 2 from the album GET IT, Vol.1 reached 100,000 streams on Pandora. At the time it was one of SETTWOR’s most notable results.[6]
Several months later, on July 22, 2025, the track passed 500,000 streams and became a key release in the artist’s career.
On February 22, 2026, the song passed 1,000,000 total streams across all digital platforms. It is SETTWOR’s first million-stream track.
Shortly afterwards, GOT ME UP 2 also reached 1,000,000 streams on Pandora. Its popularity there has held steady.
The streams keep coming, and many listeners replay the track.
GOT ME UP (Deluxe)
To mark the second anniversary of the album GET IT, Vol.1 and the success of its most popular track at the time, GOT ME UP 2, SETTWOR released GOT ME UP (Deluxe) on March 15, 2026.[10]
The album has the original version of GOT ME UP, an updated version with better quality, GOT ME UP (Alternate Mix), the track GOT ME UP 2 and its enhanced version, GOT ME UP 2 (Alternate Mix). Each track also has two additional versions: Slowed and Sped Up.[10]
In total, the album contains 12 tracks.
Shortly after the release, the original version of GOT ME UP was removed from streaming platforms and remained available exclusively on the GOT ME UP (Deluxe) album.
GOT ME UP (Alternate Mix) and GOT ME UP 2 (Alternate Mix) sound clearly better than the originals, which shows how his production skills grew over time.
Other tracks
The track PIT STOP became the fastest-growing release in SETTWOR’s history during its first week after release. Later, SE TU QUER set a new record by reaching 1,000 Spotify streams in 6 days and 10,000 in 36 days. XEREQUINHA NERVOSA beat that, reaching 10,000 streams in just 11 days.[8][11][12]
Streaming history
SETTWOR reached his first million total streams on October 21, 2025, counting from his first track in 2021. That took about five years. The second million came much faster: within the next six months, on May 17, 2026.
Channel history
SETTWOR’s YouTube channel had 1,000 subscribers on August 7, 2022, and passed 1 million total views on October 2, 2022. It reached 5 million views on May 24, 2023, and 10,000 subscribers on June 11, 2023. On April 15, 2024 it had 15,000 subscribers, and on July 9, 2024 it crossed 10 million views.[3]
The channel has over 600 videos: edits of various tracks in styles such as 8D audio, slowed and sped up, a few mashups, and SETTWOR’s own original songs.[3]
On November 2, 2022, SETTWOR received the status of an official musician’s channel.
On June 13, 2023, the day before the channel’s third anniversary, YouTube deleted it for no known reason, as SETTWOR reported on his social media. The same day, after he filed an appeal, the channel was restored. The reason for the removal turned out to be odd. SETTWOR wrote in his Telegram channel[4]:
“They deleted the channel for ‘Sveta Kakala Skazhi’, or rather for the guy who was shaking his ass at the beginning. They said it was sexual content that causes arousal. For some reason, they deleted the channel, although they should have issued a warning first, and only after four warnings should they have deleted it. After restoring the channel, they gave me a warning and deleted the video. I filed an appeal to restore the video; it was restored but marked as 18+.”
On October 11, 2025, the channel was hacked and scammers took control of the account. The next day they sold it. On October 14, 2025, three days after the incident, SETTWOR recovered his channel and account with the help of YouTube support.[3]
